Cambodia Trip - Framing My Shots with the S95

I came across this photography technique before my trip. Framing is done by blocking other parts of the image with something in the foreground to draw attention to the subject of your image. The frame doesn't need to completely fill the edges of your image and might just be on one or two edges of your shot. Be cautious as sometimes framing can just make the shot feel cramped and attention on your subject might be lost. Here is one example taken with my S95:

A man climbing the wall.
It is also important to consider whether you want your frame to be in focus or not. In some cases, a nicely blurred frame will add a sense of mood and depth to your photo, but in other instances to have your frame in focus can also help with adding context to the scene. The S95 can accomplish the later with ease, but I would require some more practice to achieve the former. For example, framing a scene with an archway like the one below can tell you something about the place you are by the architecture of the archway.

The subject might be too small and out of focus. I'll need to improve on this.
